Our Trip to Roaring Camp and Steam Train Ride to Summit of Bear Mountain

Once we arrived at Roaring Camp Railroad, we were greeted by the sight of the steam train chugging along the tracks, making its way from the station starting its trek up to the summit of Bear Mountain.

We made our way to the ticket booth and purchased our tickets for the redwood forest steam train tour.

As we waited for our departure, I decided to grab a bite to eat at the cafe. I ordered a delicious sandwich and a soda, which I enjoyed while watching the hustle and bustle of the train station.

Finally, it was time for our tour. We boarded the train and set off on our journey to the summit of Bear Mountain. As we chugged along, we took in the beautiful scenery of the redwood forest. The towering trees loomed above us, casting a cool, shady presence over the train.

At the top of the mountain, we got off the train and explored a bit of the summit. There was a wedding reception being set up in a redwood grove that was over 2,000 years old. The couple had chosen a truly unique and beautiful location for their special day.

After exploring the summit, we boarded the train again and made our way back down the mountain. As we rode, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe at the beauty of the redwood forest. It was truly a magical experience.

Once we arrived back at the station, we stopped in at the gift shop and picked up a few souvenirs to remember our visit. We left Roaring Camp Railroad feeling grateful for the amazing experience and already looking forward to our next visit.

Pictures really do not do this justice in terms of showing how large these trees are in real life.
