A mile-long route winds through a 70-acre wooded area in the picturesque Prince River Preserve in Barre, Massachusetts, which welcomes tourists. There is a tiny parking lot for guests at the trail's entrance on Flaherty Road. You will be surrounded by a variety of trees, including northern hardwoods, hemlocks, and white pines, as you stroll along the route.
In the Massachusetts town of Cheshire, there is a 12.7-mile paved trail known as the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail. The trail is a well-liked destination for hikers, cyclists, and runners and follows the path of the historic Berkshire Branch of the Boston & Maine Railroad.
The Island Line Trail, also known as the Colchester Causeway, is a 13.4-mile rail trail located in Vermont. It follows the route of the Island Line railroad, which was built in 1901 by the Rutland Railroad. The trail runs through Burlington, Colchester, and South Hero and includes a 200-foot gap that allows boat traffic to pass through.
The Chesterfield Gorge Natural Area in Chesterfield, New Hampshire, was very breathtaking when we visited. Our two girls had a terrific time exploring the surroundings while we were on the trek.
