About Red Apple Farm

Red Apple Farm is a historic family farm in Phillipston, Massachusetts, that has been running for more than 100 years. It is home to the oldest commercially planted McIntosh apple tree, which was planted in 1912 and is still producing apples today. The farm grows more than 50 different kinds of apples in addition to the McIntosh apples.

The farm is 1,250 feet above sea level, which makes its apples extra crisp and colorful. It is the orchard in New England with the highest elevation. Red Apple Farm cares about the environment and uses integrated pest management (IPM) to keep pests away from its crops. A wind turbine and solar panels are also used to make electricity on the farm.

Stone walls, fields, and maple trees make up the farm’s beautiful scenery. The farmhouse and barn on the property are older than the United States. They were built in the 1700s. “Your Family Farm” is Red Apple Farm’s well-known slogan, which shows how close the farm is to its customers, employees, and the community around it. Family farms like Red Apple Farm are an important part of small-scale farming, and they work to make sure that they will be able to stay in business for both the present and the future.

Our Visit to Winter Lights

We visited the Winter Lights at Red Apple Farm, and we couldn’t have been happier. The farm created a unique winter lights promenade through the orchard for the first time this year using tens of thousands of lights, and it was a success.

Our trip started in the serene spruce forest, and as we passed the pond and reached the orchard, the dazzling Christmas lights illuminated the route. After making our way through the orchard, we visited the country store and the brew barn to get some hot cider.

We can’t wait to bring our kids with us next year when we go back to Red Apple Farm’s Winter Lights next year. We strongly encourage everyone to visit this Christmas festivity.
